About Us

Alpha Delta Pi is proud to be the first secret society exclusively for women. Founded on May 15, 1851, at Wesleyan Female College in Macon, Georgia, our sorority is rich with tradition and sisterhood. Alpha Delta Pi sisters strive for excellence in philanthropy, academic performance, and campus leadership. In keeping with our motto, We Live for Each Other, our members have found a place for support, shared values, and personal development. Opportunities abound for the sisters of Alpha Delta Pi, and we look forward to sharing them with you.

Our open motto is “We live for each other,” this is the foundation for our sisterhood in Alpha Delta Pi. This motto describes the close bond that is formed between each of our Alpha Delta Pi sisters. These ties go deeper than any friendship ever could. From the moment our new members run home on Bid Day, they are welcomed with open arms and immediately become a member of our sisterhood and family. With every new adventure, achievement, and discouragement each ADPi member knows she can count on her sister to be right by her side through it all.

The Theta Alpha chapter of Alpha Delta Pi was welcomed into the Northwest Missouri State University Panhellenic community on November 12, 2005. Here at NWMSU none of our own sorority house, instead each Panhellenic chapter on campus has a section of Roberta Hall that second year members typically live in. Our sisterhood extends far beyond our college experience. We all experience many monumental events with our sisters, from weddings and engagements, to birthdays and even academic and career successes. It is so comforting to know that there is always a sister there to support you through every stage of your life. It is also comforting to know that there is always a sister wanting to do something with you, whether it is studying, going on a road trip, or even just making a Target run or watching Netflix together. Whatever it may be, it is clear that our sisterhood extends far beyond college.
