Philanthropy

From the time of our founding, Alpha Delta Pi has believed in the importance of giving back to our community. A dedication to philanthropy guides our members to spend time in the service of those who need it most. Our international organization’s commitment to Ronald McDonald House Charities has led to the donation of over $15,000,000 over the course of our partnership. More than 350 Ronald McDonald Houses in 64 countries help keep families with seriously ill or injured children together when they need it most by offering them a comfortable, temporary residence in proximity to a medical facility.

One of the things that Alpha Delta Pi is most proud of is our long-standing relationship with Ronald McDonald House Charities. Our chapter helps support RMHC throughout the year by frequently visiting the Kansas City location and engaging with the families that are staying there. We cook, bake, clean and spend time with the families and children staying in the house at that time. We also host annual events on campus to raise money and collect pop tabs year-round to donate to RMHC.

Our local philanthropy is Ben’s Stockings of Hope. In 2011, Ben McIntyre, the brother of one of our ADPi sisters, died in a car accident. His mother created this wonderful organization to make homemade Christmas stockings for children and families in need. Once the stockings are finished, they are filled with basic items such as hats, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and even candy. Ben’s Stockings of Hope also “adopts” several families each year and provides them clothing and food during the holiday season. The organization has grown each year and is able to provide more and more stockings to those in need. We love being a part of this amazing organization and helping families who are in need during the holiday season.
